About Me: Co-Leadership from Lived Practice

About me

I don’t know shared leadership from books

I lived shared leadership myself – for years in a job-sharing model, after 15 years of leadership responsibility in banking. That’s why I now guide others.

My path

Leadership in banking – alone at the top

For 15 years I led the classic way: responsibility with one person, decisions with one person, visibility with one person. It worked – and it had a price I could barely name back then.

The move into the shared model

Then I started sharing a leadership role. I had expected the work to halve. In fact, something else doubled first: the need to coordinate. We fell early into a trap I now see in almost everyone – we had never cleanly clarified who decides in case of doubt. At the first real conflict, that gap lay open. We learned it, the hard way, and that’s exactly what I pass on today.

Why I do this today

Because shared leadership rarely fails on the people and almost always on missing structure. And because I know how it feels to be in the middle of it with no one there to ask the right question. Today I ask that question.

What I stand for

  • Structure before mood. Good chemistry is nice, but it doesn’t carry a dual leadership.
  • Honesty before order volume. If shared leadership doesn’t fit you, I say so.
  • Practice before theory. I only recommend what I tried myself.
  • Clarity before harmony. The uncomfortable sentence at the right time saves the big conflict later.

Qualifications & references

⚠ PLACEHOLDER: training, certifications, reference clients, awards and media to be supplied by the client. Deliberately empty until then – invent nothing.

Personal

When I’m not thinking about leadership, I’m usually outdoors or in a good conversation that has nothing to do with work. I like clear words, honest people and coffee that’s actually good.

Let’s get to know each other

An intro call is free and no-obligation – the best way to find out whether we’re a fit.
